Dear Educators, Parents, and Community Members,
The Village of Walton is currently seeking part-time Code Enforcement Officers, and we are asking for your help in sharing this opportunity with local students and young adults who may be interested.
This position is ideal for individuals who are graduating high school, currently in college, or recently entering the workforce, and are looking to gain valuable, real-world experience while contributing to their community.
Participants in this role will have the opportunity to:
-Work directly with local government
-Learn about building codes, zoning, and property maintenance
-Develop professional communication and problem-solving skills
-Build a strong resume with hands-on municipal experience
-Play an active role in maintaining and improving the Village of Walton
No prior experience is required. We are looking for individuals who are responsible, dependable, and willing to learn. Training will be provided.
This opportunity may be especially beneficial for those with an interest in:
-Public service or law enforcement
-Construction, trades, or code compliance
-Engineering, architecture, or planning
-Community and economic development
We would greatly appreciate your assistance in sharing this information with students, recent graduates, or anyone who may be a good fit.

The concert is in Walton, will begin at 3 PM, and doors open at 2:30. The price of admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students, cash or check only.

The district calendar incorrectly shows that March 16th is the first day for spring sports. The first day for spring sports (JV and Varsity) is Monday, March 9th. The first day for modified sports will be Monday, April 13th.
Starting this Thursday 2/26, and continuing every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, the SFCU Mobile Banking Vehicle will be parked at Downsville Central School.
