Hi DCS community!
Hello, my name is Kristin Elmore. I was born and raised in Downsville, New York. I have two kids who currently attend Downsville school. I am currently enrolled in WGU to obtain my Bachelor's in child studies and I look forward to working for DCS.

Meet Ms. Meres 🦅
Hi DCS community!
My name is Sierra Meres. I went to Downsville Central School and was part of the 2007 graduation class. After graduation, I went to TC3 and graduated with a Liberal Art General Studies degree. I have 2 kids, who also attend Downsville school and they both enjoy it as much I did. I am excited to be a part of the staff and watch my kids grow up in a community I grew up in.Â

Meet Ms. Maksa 🦅🎨🖌️
Hi DCS community!
My name is Megan Maksa and I’m so excited to be the new Art teacher this year!  I grew up in Queens, NY, and earned my Bachelor’s Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I trained in Illustration and Art History. After college I started working with an after school program and really enjoyed the ability to teach students about art and help bring out their creativity and imagination through art making. I went on to obtain my Masters Degree in Arts Education and completed that this year, 2024! Previously I have taught STEAM and Art, and I am so thrilled to continue teaching Art to the students at DCS!Â

Guthrie Mobile Dental Program will be coming to DCS this fall for the 24-25 school year. Packets will be sent home at the beginning of school year.

Downsville Central School Athletics
We are very excited to announce that Downsville Central School has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign student forms for your students. The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data from year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time.
You may review your data at any time to verify it is current. You will be required to sign your forms once per year and after any update.
Click on the Parent Playbook (attached) to get started in FinalForms. If you require any support during the process, scroll to the page bottom-right and click “Get Help” to reach the 24/7 support team.
We are asking that ALL parents use FinalForms.

Meet Ms. Gray 🦅✏️📚
Hello Downsville School Community!
My name is Hannah Gray and I am very excited to be one of the two 2nd grade teachers this year at DCS! I graduated from SUNY New Paltz this past May with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. This will be my first year teaching and I couldn’t imagine a better place to be starting at. I grew up in Sidney and still currently reside there after moving back home from college. Some of my hobbies include sports, music, board games, and reading. I like to stay busy as much as I can and I love to spend as much time with my friends and family as possible. I greatly look forward to meeting all of the members of this school community and integrating myself into it as we start this school year!
Due to tomorrow’s weather forecast the field trip to the Rumble Ponies has been canceled and there will be no summer program. Have a great rest of your summer. See you on September 5th for the first day of school.
