Meet Mrs. Pringle 📚📝 🦅
Hello Downsville School Community!
My name is Ellen Pringle, and I will be teaching 7-12 ELA. I have been teaching for 22 years and cannot wait to extend my enthusiasm for what I teach, with the kids of DCS. One of my favorite things about teaching is building relationships with the students and encouraging them as they grow and learn. I love reading with my classes and embarking on journeys to places we have never been and meeting characters who become our companions.
Currently, I live in Delhi with my two incredible kids. I am originally from New Jersey. I absolutely love kayaking, hiking, swimming, cooking, and spending time with my kids. Oh yes, and do not forget ice cream. I love ice cream!
I am thrilled to be a part of the DCS community! It is wonderful to be surrounded by people who are welcoming and eager to build connections. The prospect of contributing positively to the students of Downsville fills me with such joy for what the future holds for all of us!
Here is to a fantastic 2023-2024 school year!

Meet Mr. Bussiere 🦅✏️📚 (though he's no stranger to the DCS hallways 🦅)
Hi DCS!
My name is Shane Bussiere. As a former student and teaching assistant here, I'm incredibly grateful for all the school and community has done for me over the years. I look forward to continuing my time at Downsville as a 7-12 Special Education teacher. I'm excited to bring the same spirit and commitment that Downsville has shown to me to all our current and future students!
Besides my passion for education, I have a wide variety of interests that keep me busy. I enjoy travel, nature, basketball, beekeeping, music, reading, and any good project I can build with my hands. I've had a blast showing students beekeeping and hope to keep bringing new experiences to our school!
Here's to a great 23-24 school year!

As the 23-24 school year approaches we are excited to introduce some of our new DCS Teaching Staff! Meet Ms. Balser 🦅✏️🧮 Hi DCS community! My name is Jade Balser and I’m so excited to be the new 7-12 math teacher this year! I grew up in Liberty, and earned my Bachelor’s Degree through SUNY Potsdam in 2022. I’ve always known I wanted to be a teacher, but it wasn’t until high school that I knew I wanted to be a math teacher. This will be my first year teaching and I can’t wait to get started! Some fun facts about me are that I love photography and have been a photographer for about 8 years now. I started in high school using a film camera and have never stopped taking pictures since. I also love to read. Even though I’m a math person through and though, you will always find me reading in any spare moment I can get.

This will be my 3rd year teaching, and I hope to bring novel and interesting experiences to your students.
This includes chartering Downsville’s first FFA chapter, a national organization centered around agriculture education, career exploration, and leadership development.
I have already started working with some students over the summer, and I am greatly looking forward to working with all the DCS students, staff, and parents this fall!
