Custodial Worker Position Posted
Update from Downsville Central School District:
At approximately 12:35 pm today, the fire alarm system detected a fire in the “doghouse”, which is the laundry room located in between the boys and girls locker rooms. The building was evacuated and students were dismissed between 1:30 pm and 1:45 pm.
No injuries occurred and all students were transported home safely.
After the fire was extinguished, a certified fire investigator from Delaware County investigated the situation. It appears that towels caught fire either during the drying process or after the process was completed.
The fire department determined that it is safe for the school to reopen on Thursday, April 20th.
Should your child need alternate arrangements for pick up, please call the bus garage at 607-363-2130.
Due to an appliance fire we will be dismissing at 1:30pm. Students will be dismissing from the bus garage.
Buses will load first. Parents who will be picking up their children will need to wait until the buses have departed first.
*Away athletic events* will proceed as scheduled. All other afterschool activities/practices have been cancelled.
No JV Softball Practice tonight (4/1723).
There is NO Drama Club practice today (4/17/23).

The Afterschool Program is offering regents Review for the US History regents.
These review sessions will start Thursday 4/20/23 at 3:05pm with Ms. Townsend. They will be held weekly. Regents is 6/1/23.
All other Regents Review sessions will begin the week of 5/15/23.
