Dear Parents/Guardians,
With the anticipated reopening of the Walton lanes, DCS is investigating the interest level of our students in forming varsity level bowling teams for both boys and girls as well as intramural bowling for grades 7 and 8.
The bowling season would run from November to the middle of February. Practices would be held two to three days per week during the preseason at the Walton Lanes from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm, with up to two matches and one additional practice per week once the season begins.
Transportation would be provided to and from the Walton Lanes and students would return in time for the late bus.
The bowling team would play in the MAC League.
All home matches would take place at the Walton Lanes and all away matches would take place at that district's local bowling alley. The varsity bowling team will consist of players in grades 9-12 and we would need a minimum of six boys and six girls interested in order to create the two teams.
Likewise, students in grades 7 and 8 would participate in intramural bowling on the same days as varsity practice.
