Water Resources Art & Poetry Contest 

January 5 – March 4, 2022 

 

New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is excited to announce the launch of this year’s Water Resources Art & Poetry Contest. Second through twelfth grade students in New York City and the East and West of Hudson Watersheds are invited to create original art and compose poetry that reflects an appreciation for our shared water resources. The following are the five central themes of the contest, incorporating STEM and humanities disciplines: Water, a Precious Resource; NYC’s Water Supply System; NYC’s Wastewater Treatment System; Harbor Water Quality and Healthy Marine Ecosystems; and Water Stewardship and Climate Change. Online entries will be accepted from Wednesday, January 5 - Friday, March 4, 2022. For information and to submit entries, click Water Resources Art & Poetry Contest
