Reminder:
There will be no late buses tomorrow, March 7th. The after-school program will be pick up only.
In addition, next Friday, March 15th there is no school for students.
Monday, March 18th is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 am and lunch will be provided.
Monday, March 11th is the start of the Varsity Spring Sports Season.
The Ag. program was very busy this Monday!
We boiled another 50 gallons of sap, and plant science students harvested another crop of lettuce. The lettuce was donated to the Downsville Senior Meals program and will be served Tuesday to community members.
This week, students will finish, filter, and jar the maple syrup. We are expected to have over 3 gallons of finished maple syrup! Thursday, Ag. students will celebrate with a pancake and syrup party!

Concessions stand will be open.
At Halftime the fans will have an opportunity to impact the game.
For every dollar donated a student will receive a shot. Depending on where you shoot from that is how many points get added to the team of your choosing total
Lay-up = 1pt
Free Throw = 2pts
3pt. = 3 points
Half court = 5pts.

Backpack Buddies indoor yard sale is March 16th. 9am-4pm in the DCS auditorium.
Spirit Week! Tomorrow, Tuesday 3/5, is Band Tee Tuesday.
This weekend, FFA members competed at the FFA District 4 LDEs in Oxford. Students presented prepared speeches, research posters, and participated in several rounds of mock interviews.
Riley, Harper, Kenny, James, and Allison all placed top 5 in their respective contests and will move on to compete at the 2024 FFA Eastern Region Substate contests in Windsor, NY.

Each student in grades PK-6 has brought home, or will be bringing home, a Music In Our Schools Month calendar. Follow the prompt each school day and bring it back after Spring Break for a chance to win a prize!
There will be NO shuttle or late buses on Thursday, March 7th.
Afterschool Program will be *SELF-TRANSPORT* only.
Flute students in grades 6-12 had the opportunity to hear a professional Flute player, Emily Hutchinson, play different flutes found throughout musical time periods, from Baroque to Contemporary, this afternoon. Music on the Delaware offered this wonderful experience for these students and we are thankful we could take part.
DCS was thrilled to welcome Patty Lacey and Tish Drumm (Eck), two of our very own DCS Alumni, who graciously shared their published masterpiece, "Who Sees Who at the Zoo”. They read their book to our PreK-3rd grade students and answered questions the students had. Not only did they captivate our young minds with their storytelling and illustrations, but they also generously donated a signed copy of their book to our library. 📚
