DCS Spring Concert is next week! Mark your calendar!

Downsville Central School is pleased to announce the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the class of 2024. Congratulations to Elaina Bull on achieving Valedictorian and Sieg Aurich on achieving Salutatorian. Elaina is the daughter of Mr. Thaddeus Bull and Mrs. Ruby Bull of Hamden, NY. Elaina has been very active in school activities including Student Council, Not Me Not Now, Photo Club, Yearbook, Stem Club, and President of Art Club as well as Cheerleading. She has also been a member of the Junior National Honor Society as well as National Honor Society. Elaina currently serves as the Class Treasurer, Student Council President, President of Not Me Not Now, President of Art Club, Photo Club and Treasurer of Yearbook and Stem Club. She is also Treasurer of the Class of 2024 and participates in Girl Scouts. Elaina works at the After School Program as well as babysitting in her free time. Elaina plans to attend SUNY Oneonta and study Elementary Education in the fall. Sieg Aurich is the son of Ms. Vicki Aurich of Port Crane, NY and Mr. Marcus Aurich of Port Crane, NY. Sieg has participated in Space Club, Photo Club, Skills USA and serves as President of Tech Club. He has also worked after school farming and as a janitor. Sieg plans to work construction with the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters in the fall.

Downsville Fire Queen Contest forms are located in the Principal's office. Any 10th-12th grade female that lives in Downsville's fire district can participate in this contest. Forms need to be returned by May 21st. Contest will be held May 24th.

Space Camp Launch Party tomorrow, Thursday, 5/9/24 from 4pm-5pm

Attention Students: The American Legion members are looking for volunteers to help with the Mother’s Day breakfast this Sunday (5/12/24). Breakfast starts at 8 AM and goes until noon.

Student Job Opportunity

Attention Space Club participants & parents: due to Thursday’s forecast, we will now be launching our Rockets at 5pm tomorrow (Tuesday, May 7th) with our Launch Party to celebrate all our hard work still taking place Thursday, May 9th 4-pm in Mrs. Frisbee’s Classroom.

Reminder…The Class of 2027 and Student Council members will meet tomorrow at 11 AM at the cemetery near the covered bridge. We will be learning how to clean headstones and doing some clean up. Giving back to our community 💜

There will be no After School Program on Tuesday, May 21st due to the 7-12 Spring Concert.
