Shadowing (10th & 11th)
Dignity Act Coordinator (PreK-12) - Assist students, teachers, or parents in filling out the proper paperwork to report bullying incidences where there is a bias involved, for example, but not limited to: a person's actual or perceived race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practice, disability, sexual orientation, gender, or sex. Assist in investigating any reports of bullying or harassment.
Individual Counseling (K-12) - to provide guidance, support, and teach problem solving skills to students on a one-on-one basis.
Group Counseling (K-12) - to facilitate small support groups for students to practice social skills, or relate to other students in similar situations.
Character Education (K-4) - teach lessons on the topics of Empathy, Problem Solving and Impulse Control, and Anger Managment throughout the school year in the classroom environment. Lessons are taken from the research based "Second Step: Violence Prevention Curriculum".
Shadowing (10th & 11th) - Students in 10th and 11th grade are given the opportunity each year for shadow someone in the career field of their choice for one day. I set up these shadowing experiences for the 10th and 11th graders each year usually in the Spring time.
Career Fair - Arrange for a number of different professionals in the area to come to the school for one day. All students 7-12 are able to choose 3 career fields that they would like to hear more about.
Olweus Bullying Prevention Program Coordinator and BPC Chairperson - Run the Bully Prevention Committee which makes sure that we are implimenting the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program consistently and feverishly to prevent bullying and address any possible bullying.
